‘To undo, or unknit a knot; also to knit fast or again’ (Blount Glossogr. 1656). So renoˈdation ‘an unknitting or undoing of a knot’ (Phillips 1658); also reˈnode v., ‘to vnknit’ (Cockeram 1623).
